Conservative or Liberal (the true definition of the words)




We find ourselves in a time of deep political discussions concerning the liberal or conservative approaches to government.
I have decided to just post the true definitions of the two words, according to the dictionary. 
Decide for yourself what group you belong to, Conservatives or Liberals.

CONSERVATIVE

A person who is reluctant to change or consider new ideas; conformist.
A person who is averse to change and holds to traditional values and attitudes, typically in politics.
Tending or disposed to maintain existing views, conditions, or institutions. 
Those who seek to preserve things as they are, emphasizing stability and continuity, while others oppose modernism and seek a return to "the way things were".
Synonyms:
inflexible, unchangeable, unchanging, uncreative, undaring, unimaginative, unprogressive, white bread, cheap, tight fisted.


LIBERAL

Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded.
Tending to give freely; generous.
Favorable to or respectful of individual rights and freedoms.
A person who favors a political philosophy of progress and reform and the protection of civil liberties.
Of, relating to, or based on the traditional arts and sciences of a college or university curriculum.
Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry.
